Engineering Ministries International
EMI is a Christian organization and works exclusively with other Christian organizations. We do however, welcome volunteers of any faith. While we work in country, we are the guests of the ministry that has invited us. We work under the direction of the client and participate with the ministry of the client. Examples of this may include attending church services or being a part of devotional meetings. Team members are expected to be sensitive to behaviours or comments that may offend the client or other team members of differing religious beliefs.
Throughout the trip the EMI team will have regular devotional meetings and times for spiritual reflection. You don’t have to agree with all that is done or even share during these times, but you do need to agree to be present for all the team activities.
